Gary is married to Elizabeth and moved to the church in 2016 to work alongside Tim. Originally from Nottingham, Gary moved to Liverpool for University, becoming a Christian in his first year, and lived there for 10 years as a graduate whilst working with UCCF, Christ Church Liverpool, and most recently studying for a theology degree. A long suffering fan of Nottingham Forest, Gary loves playing and watching almost any sport, listening to and playing music, and reading most types of book.
Tim grew up in North Merseyside but moved to America in 2002 for ministry training. He married Leah in 2005 and they have two children, Ellie and Jackson. Tim returned to the UK in 2012 and was appointed as the Full-Time Elder at The Village Church in 2014. When not serving at the church Tim loves to BBQ, hike, and play guitar, in that order.
The Village Church is led by a team of Elders who meet regularly to pray for the church and to seek God as they provide direction and leadership to the family here.
We believe that everyone at The Village Church Formby has an important part to play, however there are a few people with specific responsibilities, you can meet them below.
